Music i like
April 1, 2005I love to sing. Music is my family’s favorite past time. I listen to different types of music depending on my mood. I like classical, R&B, pop, jazz, soul, rock and opera music. I personally admire Enya and Charlotte Church. What a voice! They were truly blessed.
In this blog, i created a link titled myTune (music i like) where you will find the songs i love to sing. I have also included “Song Data” about each song to help us better understand and enjoy the songs we listen to. These are interesting morsels like what the song is about, who wrote it, year the song was released, and what makes it different.
When I was in High School, me and my sisters (Ellaine and Evelyn) joined a choir in our parish, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, in Araneta Center Cubao. Our group is called Cecillian’s Choir. This is where i met my husband–Allan. He’s our pianist. He does not only lead the choir but also can sing very well himself as Bass. We sing not only for Sunday Masses but also during seasons of Lent and Advent, weddings, funerals, and other special occasions. This experience has helped me exude my confidence and inspiration and develop my singing voice. This is the reason why i added the category “Inspirational Songs” in myTune blog. I always love to sing liturgical, gospel, and inspirational songs especially with the melodic voices of Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and Bass (SATB). Every time I feel the spirit in each song that we sing, I know I am immersed in the essence of Church and serving Our Creator.
“Music is something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we’re from, everyone loves music”
